I understand that this area was flooded with Water and now it is Flooded with Contractors. I agree that it should be flooded with Contractors but what I disagree with is the way they are going about their services. Demolition is being performed on a very large scale but are these Contractors following the Clean Air Act? All the Materials that they are putting on the public streets could be a possible hazard, Asbestos, Lead, etc… The Federal Law by the EPA requires a process that is designed to keep the public safe including the contractor employee’s and that is to test for hazardous materials. It is my understanding that this law or requirement has not been waived and still work continues without these being followed. Why is it that Companies can flock to an area but are not held accountable to the laws and when all is said and done they go home but did they leave a possible hazard behind to the citizens that have to live there? It is amazing to see LARGE NATIONAL RESTORATION COMPANIES, FRANCHISES, ETC… not following the law but seem to get away with it but it is time to draw the line and expose the who is NOT FOLLOWING THE LAWS. Asked of one and they said the Insurance Companies do not want to talk about having to pay for testing - but what could this do - if you are contractor who does alot of work with this company then is it right to ignore the LAW? Put your camara’s on the street and go to every job you see demolition and see if this post carries any merit. It is TIME that we stand up and welcome all the Contractors and everyone else but they must know that they have an obligation to protect our people and environment and the only way to do work in our Town is to Follow the LAW.

THIS IS A REAL NEWS STORY - HELP THE PUBLIC by REPORTING VIOLATORS THAT IGNORE THE LAW DESIGNED TO PROTECT

Comment on Number One Cancer Killer May Not Be What You Think

Smoking is an addictive disease that leads to other more serious diseases. Government figures show the death rate for cancer deaths has not changed in the last 10 years. Chemo and radiation only save around 10% of the people treated. So this shows ourdoctors don’t have much to work with.
