Jackson Recovery Centers Hosts Friends of Recovery Banquet
Jackson Recovery Centers will host its annual Friends of Recovery Banquet on Saturday September, 27th 2008, at the Sioux City Convention Center from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Over 300 Siouxlanders who are in recovery from addictions, whose careers involve working with addiction treatment and community members who support substance abuse services will gather to celebrate sobriety at the Friends of Recovery Banquet.
The evening will include dinner, an awards presentation, and a speaker from Alcoholics Anonymous in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Awards will be given to recognize individual efforts in recovery advocacy.
“This event is a wonderful way for the community to come together to celebrate the gift of recovery,” says Kermit Dahlen, President and CEO of Jackson Recovery Centers. “Addictions are preventable and treatable diseases. It is through community events like this that help Jackson raise awareness of the effectiveness of addiction treatment.”
Tickets are available at Jackson Recovery Centers at 234-2300.
